The Principal Mr. Isaac Bwambok, in collaboration with Equity Bank Eldoret branch staff led the RVTTI staff and students in a tree planting exercise at RVTTI where 300 trees were planted on 29th April, 2021.
The exercise brought together the senior leadership from Equity bank North Rift region to commemorate the collective achievements the bank has brought to the society through its environmental and academic pillar. Guests of the occasion were; Mr. Stephen Mwangi, Ms. Rotich Lorna, Pst. Josiah Kurgat and Mr. James Yatich, all comprising of the management team of all Equity banks in Eldoret. The activity also saw the bank adopt the planted sites to ensure full survival and maturity of the indigenous tree seedlings.
While addressing the team, Mr. Bwambok highlighted milestones achieved by the Bank which included offering scholarships to students at the institution through the equity foundation.
Mr. Bwambok also noted that key among the achievements realized is the raising of awareness and consciousness among members of the public, government agencies on the importance of trees and forests
Mr. Bwambok also reckoned that RVTTI in the same period has developed systems to track and monitor tree planting and harvesting processes enabling safety and good care.
Through the partnership a target of 5000 seedlings are expected to be planted.
